As part of Kuki Inpi Manipur's nationwide rally, Kuki-Zo groups held a rally in Churachandpur district on Saturday.

The rally began from Koite village and concluded at Peace Ground, Tuibong. People from all age groups participated in the rally, holding placards and chanting various slogans.

According to Kuki Inpi Manipur, the rally was organised against the ongoing persecution and targeted victimisation of the Kuki-Zo people by the Manipur Tangkhul-Liangmai and Meitei communities.

The rally was also organised in strong protest against the failure of the authorities to identify and bring to justice the perpetrators involved in the brutal killing of three Kuki-Zo church leaders.

It was further organised to protest the continued illegal detention of fourteen (14) innocent Kuki-Zo civilians, allegedly by the Manipur Tangkhul-Liangmai Civil Society Organisations in Senapati district, which remains a grave violation of human rights, constitutional values, and the rule of law.
