
Churachandpur Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, IAS, today, paid an impromptu visit to three government schools in the district - Kumbipukhri High School, Koite; Gandhi Memorial Government High School, Molnom; and Tuibuong Government High School, Tuibong to review their academic functioning and overall performance. The inspection was attended by Seiminthang Lenthang, ADC, and Smt. Esther Chingneikim, ZEO, along with other line staff.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner checked the availability of clean drinking water, proper toilets and other facilities. Interacting directly with students in their classrooms, he evaluated their learning levels through questioning and observed the ongoing teaching-learning process.
Emphasising the importance of quality education and academic excellence, Krishna Kumar directed the headmasters and teaching staff to strengthen classroom instruction, improve learning outcomes, and ensure that students receive education in a conducive environment. He stressed the need for continuous monitoring of academic performance and encouraged teachers to adopt effective teaching practices to enhance students’ understanding and overall development. The Zonal Education Officer, Smt. Esther Chingneikim, along with her staff, was instructed to ensure strict compliance with these directives.
Later in the day, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the ongoing construction of the new College of Nursing, Churachandpur building near Churachandpur District Hospital in the presence of Smt. Henkhoneng Mate, CMO, Smt. Sania Monica, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, along with other officials. He reviewed the progress of work at the site and laid emphasis on timely completion of the project. (DIO Ccpur)
