Four men and woman from Senapati arrested with 187 soap cases brown sugar

A combined team of Tadubi Police Station, Senapati and 16 Assam Rifles arrested 5 individuals including a lady along with 187 soap cases of brown sugar today on Wednesday at Tadubi police check post along National Highway 2.

The arrested persons as per the police are Azhanii Amos (35) s/o (L) Lohrii of Tunggam village, PS Tungjoy, Pavei Peter (25) s/o of Tunggam village, PS Tungjoy, Pfokrehrii (35) s/o (L) Akho of Makhan Khuman village, PO/PS Maram, Trioa Sebastian (25) s/o (L) Sheba of Tunggam village, PS Tungjoy and K. Athini Sarah (43) w/o Ch. Loli of Makhrelui village, PO/PS Senapati.

As per police, the contraband items weighing 2.057 kilograms were carried in two Gypsies hidden in the rooftop of the vehicles. The drugs were seized and the accused persons were arrested in presence of Executive Magistrate by observing formalities.
