The Zomi Reunification Organisation has categorically rejected the statement made by the President of the Federation of Haomee (FoH), Sapamcha Jadumani, on April 24, which was published in various media outlets.
Jadumani had alleged that PS Haokip, President of the Kuki National Organisation, and Thanglianpau Guite, President of the Zomi Reunification Organisation were involved in the armed aggression being waged against the indigenous communities of Manipur.
He also claimed that PS Haokip and Thanglianpau were responsible for the ambush near TM Kasom and the attack at Tronglaobi.
In a rejoinder issued on Monday, the Zomi Reunification Organisation (ZRO) outrightly rejected the statement and denied its involvement in the attacks.
ZRO stated that Jadumani’s statement was concocted, factually incorrect, and not supported by any verifiable evidence. It further alleged that the statement was a calculated and malicious campaign intended to malign the image and reputation of the President of ZRO.
ZRO also stated that Jadumani’s remarks reflected his moral bankruptcy and the chaos and utter confusion engulfing the Meitei community. “Let saner counsel prevail over his prejudice and myopic mindset,” ZRO added.
The organisation advised Jadumani to restrain himself from making emotive, provocative, and unsubstantiated statements in the future, and to exercise his freedom of expression within the ambit of the Indian Constitution and morality.
