UGC Secretary Manish Joshi has told NDTV that universities were instructed to upload the completed formats along with the required appendices on their official websites, ensuring a clear link on the home page for transparency to students and the public.

Despite repeated follow-ups via emails and online meetings, many institutions have yet to comply said Manish. The secretary told NDTV that so far, seven universities from the defaulter list have submitted the necessary documents and information. The UGC has appealed to the remaining universities to submit the documents within a week and those failing to meet the deadline will face showcause notices he warned.

As per the directives, the universities were instructed to submit detailed information for inspection purposes under Section 13 of the UGC Act in the prescribed soft copy format, available at ugc.gov.in, along with supporting documents attested by the university registrar.
