AAHL’s Navi Mumbai and Guwahati Airports Named Among Prix Versailles’ World’s Most Beautiful Airports 2026

Along with NMIA and LGBIA five other international airports including Guangzhou, China; Frankfurt am Main, Germany; Kandal Stueng, Cambodia; Pittsburgh, United States; and San Diego, United States have also been recognised in this list.

Navi Mumbai International Airport and Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, both part of Adani Airport Holdings Limited, have been named among the Prix Versailles World’s Most Beautiful Airports 2026.

As per a release by Adani Airport Holdings Limited(AAHL) , the award honours design, innovation, sustainability, cultural identity and passenger experience.  

The release stated that the recognition reflects AAHL’s focus on building world-class airports that drive growth, tourism, and regional development and also acknowledges design, sustainability, and passenger-centric planning.

Along with NMIA and LGBIA five other international airports including Guangzhou, China; Frankfurt am Main, Germany; Kandal Stueng, Cambodia; Pittsburgh, United States; and San Diego, United States have also been recognised in this list.

The Prix Versailles is a distinguished annual global award in architecture and design, presented at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris since 2015.

Navi Mumbai International Airport’s Terminal 1 has been recognised for its distinctive lotus-inspired architecture, futuristic design language and integration of technology, art and functionality, creating a world-class gateway that reflects India’s aspirations as a modern global economy.

Guwahati’s, Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport’s is anchored at the vibrant intersection of South & Southeast Asia and serves as a monumental gateway to Northeast India—a region globally celebrated for its breathtaking ecological diversity and vibrant indigenous heritage.

The architectural language of the airport’s Terminal 2 is guided by the biophilic elegance of the ‘Bamboo Orchid’, honouring the region's rich biodiversity through a highly functional, sustainable envelope.

It is stated that Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) is India’s largest operator of Public Private Partnership airports dedicated to transforming the country’s aviation landscape with innovative, sustainable, and customer-centric solutions.

Adani Airports is a part of the Adani Group’s flagship company, Adani Enterprises Ltd., that aims to extend the company's vision as a global integrated leader in infrastructure and transportation.  AAHL operates eight airports including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Jaipur, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram and the newly constructed Navi Mumbai airport.
