94 Bn CRPF Organises Civic Action Programme at Saparmeina in Kangpokpi

The 94th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a Civic Action Programme at Saparmeina in Kangpokpi district of Manipur on September 29, with the objective of strengthening community engagement and extending assistance to local residents.

The programme was organised under the aegis of the Inspector General, Manipur and Nagaland Sector, CRPF, and under the supervision of Ashok Kumar Singh, Commandant, 94 Bn CRPF. Singh attended the programme as the Special Guest along with officers of the unit.

Representing the local community, Paosat Haokip, Chief of Gamnom Saparmeina, and Sitlhou, Principal of Eklavya Model Residential School, Saparmeina, were present as guests. A large number of local representatives, prominent citizens and community members also attended the programme.

As part of the initiative, several essential items and recreational facilities were distributed among local residents and institutions. These included:

• Solar street lights
• Home solar light lanterns
• Garbage bins
• School bags
• Carrom boards
• Footballs and volleyballs, along with a volleyball net
• Skipping ropes
• A 500-litre water storage tank

Addressing the gathering, Ashok Kumar Singh, Commandant, 94 Bn CRPF, highlighted the force's commitment to supporting local communities and contributing to their welfare through outreach initiatives. He said the Civic Action Programme was aimed at addressing local needs while promoting trust, cooperation and inclusiveness between the security forces and the community.

The children of an orphanage home in Saparmeina also presented a group song during the programme, adding a cultural element to the event.

Beneficiaries and local residents expressed their appreciation for the initiative and the efforts of the CRPF towards community welfare. The programme concluded with a message of continued cooperation and engagement between the CRPF and the local community.
