
A total of 862 candidates appeared for the NEET re-examination on Sunday in Churachandpur district of Manipur.
Entry of candidates into the examination centre at Churachandpur Government College (Autonomous) began at 11:00 a.m. and continued until 1:30 p.m.
The examination was scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Earlier, officials had informed that Centre 1 would accommodate 600 candidates, while Centre 2 would host 262 candidates, including one PwD candidate.
They also stated that two supervisors, 72 invigilators, and three observers appointed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) would oversee the conduct of the examination.
On Sunday, personnel from the Manipur Police and Central Security Forces managed security at the entrance of the examination centre. Candidates underwent strict security checks before entering the premises.
One of the aspirants, Vahneichoi Haokip, said, "I have been preparing hard for the examination, but the recent NEET paper leak case has shattered my confidence to a great extent and made me doubt the transparency of the examination.
She said the incident had affected not only the aspirants but also the parents, who had high hopes for their children.
