Two arrested with modified carbine, 9mm pistol and suspected poppy seeds in Churachandpur

Security forces on Friday arrested two individuals from T Bangla MVCP under Churachandpur district along with one modified carbine, one 9 mm pistol and 36 sacks suspected to contain poppy seeds weighing 1,800 kgs,

As per the police, the two individuals are Letjakai Haokip (32) of Sarang Tampak, Chakpikarong, Chandel presently staying at Thingkangphai, Churachandpur, and Lunkhohao Haokip (40) of V. Tuisomjang Village, Churachandpur.

Two DI vehicles (NL01 AF-6831 and MZ01 AC-9716), and two mobile handsets were also seized from the two individuals
