Security Forces Recover Arms and Ammunition in Churachandpur District

Security forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from the forest area of K. Thenjang village in Churachandpur district on Tuesday.

The recovered items included one AK rifle with a magazine, one pistol, two single-barrel guns, two country-made pistols, one air gun, RPG ammunition, one hand grenade, five improvised explosive devices (IEDs), PEK explosive, three pumpis, four Motorola hand-held radio sets, two Motorola set chargers, four bulletproof jackets, and 44 empty cartridge cases.

On the same day, from the forest area of Gothol village in Churachandpur district, Manipur Police recovered one INSAS rifle with a magazine, one locally made single-barrel gun, five locally made hand grenades, 25 empty cartridge cases, nine live rounds of ammunition, one binocular, two 9 mm magazines, three Baofeng hand-held radio sets, and military gear, including chest pouches and helmets.
