Security Forces Detain Four Individuals, Recover Arms and Ammunition in Kangpokpi; Destroy Bunkers in Churachandpur

Security forces on Wednesday detained four individuals during an operation conducted at Leilon Vaiphei, Leilon Khunou, L. Munlui, and Konsakhul villages in Kangpokpi district.

According to police, the security forces recovered eleven 2-bore SBBLs, 294 live rounds of 12-bore ammunition, two packages of gunpowder, 34 empty 12-bore ammunition cases, and six bulletproof vests. During the operation, 30 bunkers, outposts, and strategic campsites found in the vicinity of the villages were dismantled.

Four individuals were also detained during the operation for further verification.

Security forces additionally destroyed an unauthorized check post and a bunker at S. Nabil village and Loilamkoi village in Churachandpur district. Four morchas/bunkers at different locations, as well as two bunkers each at Thingphai Village and C. Kholen Village, were also destroyed.
