Security force recovers arms and ammunition at Taphou Kuki and Taphou Liangmai

Combined team of Manipur Police, CoBRA Battalion, CRPF, Mahila Battalion, CRPF recovered arms and ammunition during a cordon and search operation at Taphou Kuki and Taphou Liangmai, Senapati district on Tuesday.

As per the police the recovered items are 2SBBL guns, 78 numbers of 12-bore live rounds, 11  number of  12-bore empty cases, empty cases of AK47 and .22 ammunition, one 12-bore cartridge belt, 1 set of charger, 5 vehicle registration plates and one empty steel military-surplus ammunition container.

Further, a total of 3 bunkers were destroyed with 2 bunkers in Taphou Kuki and 1 in Taphou Liangmai during the operation.
