Pherzawl Police Conduct Drug Awareness Programme in Thanlon Schools

As a mark of commitment, students and teachers collectively took a pledge to refrain from drug use and contribute towards building a drug-free society.

In a proactive step aligned with the observance of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Pherzawl Police conducted a comprehensive drug awareness programme at St. Xavier School, Thanlon, under the theme “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan – Viksit Bharat Ki Pehchaan.”

The initiative aimed to educate students on the dangers of substance abuse and encourage healthier lifestyle choices. The programme witnessed active participation from medical personnel of the Primary Health Centre, along with teachers and students from St. Xavier School and Convention English School. 

Resource persons highlighted the physical, psychological, and social impacts of drug addiction, stressing the importance of early awareness and prevention. Students were encouraged to make informed decisions and resist peer pressure. The interactive programme also allowed participants to engage in discussions and clarify doubts related to substance abuse.

As a mark of commitment, students and teachers collectively took a pledge to refrain from drug use and contribute towards building a drug-free society.
