Nagas may intensify more stringent actions than ongoing economic blockade: UNC President

United Naga Council President Ng Lorho on Tuesday said that the naga people may intensify more stringent actions than the ongoing economic blockade.

Lorho was speaking to media after meeting NIA officials. Lorho said, “ we welcome NIA officials and also extend our full co- operation in whatever way we can in their investigation in the case of targeted ambush and killings of three thadou pastors. At the same time we also ask the NIA officials to seriously expedite the case of 6 naga men killed by the kuki militants”,

Following the killing of three pastors and also kidnapping and killing of six naga men, till today we do not see any tangible actions from the government side and because of the  inaction of the government, people of the stet are left in chaos said Lorho.

“Even after the lapses of more than one and half months, there is no tangible actions seen. Therefore, the naga people may intensify more stringent actions than the ongoing economic blockade” the UNC president added.

Regarding the charter of demands placed by the UNC to the government, Lorho said nothing is done by the government so the agitation is going on.

On Tuesday, the National Investigation Agency recorded the statement of Ng Lorho as part of its ongoing investigation into the May 13 ambush on three Thadou church leaders in Kangpokpi district of Manipur. However, NIA officials declined to make any statement to the media.
