
In a remarkable display of solidarity and national pride, the 150th Birth Anniversary of India’s first Deputy Prime Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, was celebrated with a spirited Unity Run marking Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) in Kangpokpi District Headquarters this morning.
The event was jointly organized by 112 BN CRPF, KPI Police, KPI District Hospital, and Elite Higher Secondary School, Kangpokpi, Sadar Hills. The Unity Run commenced from the SP Office, Kangpokpi, proceeded towards the KPI Police Station, and culminated back at the starting point, symbolizing the unbroken circle of national integrity and strength.
More than 200 participants—including officers and jawans of 112 BN CRPF led by Commandant Ranjan Kumar Baruah and 2IC Shri Mukesh Taterway, the Kangpokpi Police team led by SP Abhinav, IPS, and supported by SDPO and OC Kangpokpi Police Station, alongside the District Hospital team headed by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Paokai Kipgen, and students and teachers of Elite Higher Secondary School—joined the run with remarkable zeal and unity.
Before the run, all participants took the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to preserve and strengthen the fabric of national integration, peace, and harmony.
Adding to the day’s significance, a Cleanliness Drive and Unity Plantation Drive were also conducted within Kangpokpi District Headquarters, reinforcing the message of collective responsibility toward building a clean, green, and united India.
The event not only honored the Iron Man of India but also echoed a powerful message: that unity is the foundation of strength, progress, and peace in a diverse nation like ours.
