Government orders closure of all educational institutions from August 20 to 22

The Government of Manipur has ordered the closure of all schools, colleges and higher educational institutions across the state from August 20 to 22 in view of the prevailing law and order situation.

The order, issued by Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Education Department Ningthoujam Geoffrey on behalf of and in the name of the Governor on Wednesday, has declared the closure of all schools affiliated to the Board of Secondary Education Manipur, Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur, Central Board of Secondary Education and other boards.

The order also covers colleges and higher education institutions, including universities, functioning under government, aided and unaided sectors. Concerned authorities are also instructed to circulate the order to all educational institutions.
