The mortal remains of four United Kuki National Army (UKNA) cadres, who were killed by security forces on November 4 at Khanpi village under Henglep Sub-Division, Churachandpur, were laid to rest at the Kuki Khanglai Lawmpi Cemetery, Tunom Village.

The burial ceremony was conducted after the completion of necessary legal procedures and post-mortem reports.

Prior to the burial, a condolence service was held at the KKL Complex, IB Road, in the presence of the bereaved families, Kuki-Zo civil society organisations, and members of the public. Representatives from the Kuki Inpi, Indigenous Tribal Leaders’ Forum, Joint Philanthropic Organisations, and KKL GHQ delivered speeches during the condolence programme.
