District Congress Committee Churachandpur burns effigies of Modi, Amit Shah and Chief Election Commissioner

The District Congress Committee, Churachandpur on monday organised a district-level protest as part of the nationwide programme of the Indian National Congress concerning the issues raised by the Congress regarding alleged “Vote Chori” and electoral-roll-related concerns.

The protest was staged at Red Cross Road and was led by Mangkholien Gangte President District Congress Committee. The protestors burnt effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Manga Vaiphei, Working President MPCC, Chawngbiak, General Secretary MPCC, Mangchinkhup PCC member, Patrick Onminlal Haokip, Vice President Youth Congress Manipur) along with office bearers of DCC members, District Youth Congress, Block President and leaders, District Mahila Congress & NSUI and congress sympathisers of the district came together in large numbers, raising their voices for free, fair and transparent elections and demanding greater accountability and transparency in the functioning of the Election Commission.
