Cyber Crime Training Held for Pherzawl Police Personnel

Personnel comprising Head Constables, Assistant Sub-Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, Inspectors and Deputy Superintendents of Police took part in the training.

Around 20 police personnel participated in a cyber crime training programme held today at the SP Pherzawl Camp Office, Tuibong, focusing on emerging forms of cybercrime and modern techniques of investigation.

The training covered a range of important topics, including cyber crime investigation, filing of online complaints, social media crimes, digital arrest, financial fraud and Call Detail Record (CDR) analysis.

The programme was conducted under the resource persons Ms Joyce Lalremmawi, IPS, AD/MPTC, and Emmanuel L. Fimate, MPS, AD/MPTC.

Personnel comprising Head Constables, Assistant Sub-Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, Inspectors and Deputy Superintendents of Police took part in the training.

Senior officers and cyber crime experts were also present during the programme, including Lunkhomang Khongsai, MPS, Special AIG (Housing); Pherzawl SP T LalboiHaokip, MPS; Immanuel Pulamte, MPS, Additional SP, Pherzawl; SI V. Pumkhansiam of CCP; and Hav. JamsonmuanTunglut of CCP.

The training is aimed at strengthening the capacity of police personnel to effectively respond to cyber-related offences and improve their understanding of digital investigation and financial cyber fraud. (DIO Pherzawl)
