
The 94th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a Civic Action Programme at K. Lhahnom village in Khengjang, under Saparmeina Police Station in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district, on October 8, with the aim of strengthening relations with the local community and supporting livelihood generation.
The programme was organised under the aegis of the Inspector General (IG), Manipur and Nagaland Sector, CRPF, under the supervision of Ashok Kumar Singh, Commandant of the 94th Battalion. As part of the initiative, 12 piglets and 100 ducklings were distributed among local beneficiaries to promote livelihood opportunities and encourage animal husbandry.
Ashok Kumar Singh attended the programme as the special guest, accompanied by officers of the battalion. Local dignitaries, including ThangKholet, chief of K. Lhahnom village; Seitinmang, chief of Khengjang village; and Minthang Singsit, youth president of Khengjang village, also attended the event.
Several local representatives, prominent citizens and community members were present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Commandant Ashok Kumar Singh highlighted the CRPF’s commitment to community welfare through outreach initiatives. He said the Civic Action Programme was intended to address local needs while fostering mutual trust, cooperation and inclusiveness between the force and the people.
The beneficiaries and local residents expressed their appreciation for the initiative, acknowledging the CRPF’s efforts to support community welfare and strengthen its engagement with the people.
The programme concluded with a message of continued cooperation between the CRPF and the local community.
