Churachandpur District Felicitates Winners of Road Safety Awareness Month 2026

The District Administration of Churachandpur held an Award Distribution and Felicitation Programme today to honour the winners of the Road Safety Awareness Month 2026, observed from January 1 to January 31. The event took place at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall during a meeting of the District Road Safety Committee.

The programme was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Dharun Kumar S, IAS, and supported by Additional Deputy Commissioner Lalrobul Fimate and SDC/Branch Officer Teresa Tangpua, who also served as the compere.

The Road Safety Awareness Month featured a series of competitions including wall painting, essay writing, and short film production, aimed at promoting responsible road behaviour and public awareness.

School Wall Painting Competition on Road Safety 2026

• 1st Place: Nengpineng Baite (Class XI-Science), Sielmat Christian Hr. Sec. School
• 2nd Place: Calvin Hangzouthang (Class VII), Chinkham Modern High School
• 3rd Place: Students of Children Training High School: Adhitya Sharma, Shornojit Dhar, Ronit Kumar Singh, T. Khup Suan Mung, Ayush Kumar, and Adarsh Raj (all Class VII)

Essay Writing Competition on Road Safety 2026

• 1st Place: Emily, NKT High School
• 2nd Place: Joy Chinghoih (Class IX-A), Don Bosco High School
• 3rd Place: Isabel Hoilungnem (Class IX-A), VK Tawna High School

Short Film Competition on Road Safety 2026

• 1st Place: Piangperman & Team
• 2nd Place: Ommohlokoh
• 3rd Place: Tribal Wood Production

All winners were presented with cash incentives and certificates in recognition of their outstanding contributions towards road safety awareness campaign.
