Assam Rifles Commemorates 150 Years of Vande Mataram at Kotlen
Har Ghar Tiranga was also conducted wherein Tiranga was distributed to the local residents and shopkeepers.
As part of the nationwide commemoration of 150 years of Vande Mataram, Assam Rifles organised a Tiranga Bike Rally cum Vande Mataram Recitation Competition at Kotlen, Kangpoki District, Manipur on 14 August 2026. Har Ghar Tiranga was also conducted wherein Tiranga was distributed to the local residents and shopkeepers.
The initiative aimed at sensitising the community, particularly the younger generation, to the historical significance of Vande Mataram and its contribution to India’s freedom movement. The programme also provided a meaningful platform for interaction between Assam Rifles personnel and local residents, strengthening civil-military relations and fostering national integration.
The initiative reaffirmed Assam Rifles’ commitment to youth engagement, community outreach and promotion of patriotism while honouring the legacy of Vande Mataram.
