Arambai Tenggol Denies Kuki Inpi’s Allegation Over Reported Presence in Tangkhul Areas

The recent statement by Kuki Inpi Manipur alleging the presence of over 50 Arambai Tenggol members at Sikibung in Ukhrul District, operating in coordination with Tangkhul Nagas, is baseless, a wild allegation, and utterly unfounded, says Arambai Tenggol.

Arambai Tenggol issued a release stating that during the Siroi Festival 2025, some of its volunteers unfurled a Salai Taret (Seven Clans) flag at Siroi Peak, prompting strong objections and protests from the Tangkhul Naga community. Since the post-2013 Manipur crisis, not a single Meitei has been permitted to cross any Kuki village to this day.

Rejecting the claim made by KIM as baseless, Arambai Tenggol stated that no amount of misinformation can conceal the reality of their actions or the harm inflicted upon innocent lives. Attempts to manipulate public perception through deceit only further expose the lack of credibility and integrity behind such statements.

The release made by KIM is nothing more than a calculated attempt to mislead the public through falsehoods and manufactured narratives. Such propaganda is a familiar tactic that distorts facts, spreads fear, and evades accountability, Arambai Tenggol stated.

“A liar and a cheater don’t just lack integrity; they survive by deception. Every word they speak is twisted, every action calculated to mislead. Such people don’t deserve trust; they expose themselves as unreliable and morally bankrupt,” the release added.

Even Tangkhul Nagas are barred from passing through Kuki-inhabited areas like Litan while traveling to or from Imphal. In this hostile environment, claims of Arambai Tenggol operating in Ukhrul are nothing but a bundle of lies—a fabricated narrative designed to destabilize peace in the state, it added.

Stating that those who engage in such acts often rely on false narratives and baseless allegations to justify violence and mislead people, AT added that such a pattern of spreading disinformation and manipulating facts is a dangerous tactic that must be firmly challenged.

Arambai Tenggol stated that no cause can ever justify terrorism. It destroys lives, destabilizes societies, and undermines the very foundations of peace and humanity. The truth must prevail over propaganda, and accountability must replace deception. A united and vigilant society is essential to expose falsehoods and stand firmly against all forms of terrorism.

The release further stated that terrorism, in any form, cannot and will never be justified. The use of propaganda to distort the truth does not alter facts on the ground. The truth remains resolute, and those responsible will ultimately be held accountable, the release stated.
