Amid unwanted incident in Taphou village, Imphal-Guwahati public transport service continues for third day

Around 100 passengers who started their journey from Guwahati on sudnay reached the ISBT Bus Terminus in Imphal safely on Monday

Public transport services along the Imphal-Dimapur-Guwahati route via National Highway-2 continued for the third day on Monday with more than 250 passengers including women and children

The passengers left Imphal for Dimapur and Guwahati in a fleet of 5 buses and 7 Winger vehicles under fool-proof security. However, the departure of the vehicles was delayed due to the situation at Taphou village in Senapati District along NH-2.

Timely intervention by the government and the public support prevented the situation from escalating further and the vehicles left for Dimapur and Guwahati in the afternoon around 1 pm.

It is also learnt that around 100 passengers who started their journey from Guwahati on sudnay reached the ISBT Bus Terminus in Imphal safely on Monday without any unwanted incident reported during the journey.
