Mortal remains of BJP MLA Vungzagin Valte will be laid to rest on Saturday

Mortal remains of late BJP MLA from Thanlon Assembly Constituency ,Churachandpur Manipur will be laid to rest on Saturday at Young Paite Association Cemetery Dorcas Veng, New Lamka in Churachandpur district.

Zomi Council informed that the funeral service will be held at residence of the late MLA in Dorcas Veng, New Lamka allowing friends, relatives, and members of the community to pay their final respects to the departed and extend their condolences to the bereaved family.

ZC invited family members, relatives, friends, well-wishers, church leaders, community leaders and representatives of various organizations are i to join in honoring the life and legacy of Vungzagin Valte and to stand in solidarity with his family during time of grief.

Valte, a three-time legislator representing the 56-Thanlon Assembly Constituency, was severely injured on May 4, 2023, when he was allegedly attacked at Nagamapal in Imphal after meeting the then Chief Minister, N. Biren Singh.

He remained under intensive medical care for more than three years before succumbing to his injuries in New Delhi earlier this year.
