The Kuki community in Delhi, under the aegis of KSO Delhi & NCR, this evening held a candlelight vigil in memory of the slain church leaders who were killed in an ambush today in Kangpokpi district, Manipur.

Hundreds of members of the Kuki community from the National Capital Region gathered at Gurdwara Car Park, Munirka, to pay homage to the departed church leaders, while praying for their noble souls to rest in peace. The vigil was attended by various church leaders and Pastors from different communities.

KSO Delhi & NCR President Tingbem said, “We condemn this in the strongest manner. It was one of the most cowardly acts, taking the lives of servants of God.”

“All sane Christian tribals should come together in solidarity to condemn such brutality against our pastors and church leaders,” she added.

She further said that a mass protest rally over the killing of the church leaders will be held at Jantar Mantar on May 16, requesting the Christian community to join the protest and show solidarity against the brutality carried out on innocent mission workers.
