5 AR arrest UKNA cadre, recovers arms and ammunition

5 Assam Rifles arrested a cadre of United Kuki National Army on Wednesday and handed over the cadre to to Churachandpur Police Station.

As per the police the cadre has been identified as Self Styled Sergeant Major Satngam Doungel (43) of Saihenjang Village, Churachandpur.

The cadre has been arrested along with a 9 mm Beretta pistol, five rounds of 9 mm pistol and a magazine of 9 mm pistol.

Security force also recovered MP-09, Single Barrel, Functional Rocket, Pumpi, eight 7.62x39 mm live ammunition, 2 Land Mines, 1 Mortar Bomb, 4 detonators, 1 Fragmentation Mine (Improvised) and other miscellaneous items from Nepali Basti area near Maovom Village in  Churachandpur district.
