129 Battalion CRPF to organise U-18 male football tournament in Churachandpur

The winner of the tournament will receive Rs.30,000 along with trophy and medal, runner up will receive Rs, 20,000 along with trophy and medal and 3rd place will receive Rs.10,000 along with trophy and medal.

129 Battalion, CRPF will be organising U-18 male category football tournament in Churachandpur from October 10.

The district level football tournament is being organized to promote “Sports for Peace and Development across Nation” (SPANDAN), an initiative running under the Government of India’s Khelo India framework. The tournament is also dedicated to Shaheed CT/GD K Anjaneyuluof 129 Bn, CRPF.

The tournament will be organise at Peace Ground, Tuibong and Lamka Public Ground, Hiangtam Lamka. The tournament will kick off on October 10 and will culminate with the grand finale on October 13 in co-ordination with Churachandpur District Sports Association (CDSA) . A total of 16 CDSA affiliated teams from across Churachandpur district will participate.

The winner of the tournament will receive Rs.30,000 along with trophy and medal, runner up will receive Rs, 20,000 along with trophy and medal and 3rd place will receive Rs.10,000 along with trophy and medal.

The best player of the tournament, best goal keeper best defender, best midfielder, top scorer will be rewarded with cash prize of Rs 3000 each, Certificates will be provided to all participating team, t shirts, shorts and boots for all players, refreshments and drinking water for players, officials and volunteers.

The core objective of the tournament is to leverage the power of sports to bring the youth and local communities together, empower local talent, and build enduring trust and mutual harmony between the security forces and citizens.

As per the release, 129 Battalion, CRPF will be organising football tournament for U-21 for male category and Open Category for Male and Volleyball Tournament for U-18 Female categoryin the Month of Nov & Dec 2026.
