Two leaders of Rongmei Naga Youth Organisation Tamenglong Luangrian, Manipur, die in road accident

In the accident, three other occupants of the vehicle were also injured.

The Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Rongmei Naga Youth Organisation Manipur, Tamenglong Luangrian (RNYOM-TL), have died in a road accident on Friday afternoon along National Highway-137, between Azuram village and the Makru River, under Tousem Sub-Division, Tamenglong District, Manipur.

The deceased have been identified as Miusinreiyang Panmei, Chairman of RNYOM-TL, and Joy Panmei, Vice Chairman of RNYOM-TL.

The incident reportedly occurred when the RNYOM leaders were on their way to Assam in a Gypsy. It is reported that the vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge.

In the accident, three other occupants of the vehicle were also injured.

Condoling the untimely demise of the two leaders, the Tribal Youths Council Manipur, Council Headquarters (TYCM-CHQ), stated that the deceased were committed and selfless leaders who dedicated their lives to the service of the Rongmei community as well as the tribal people of Manipur.

TYCM-CHQ also offered sincere prayers for those injured in the tragic accident and wished them a speedy and complete recovery.
