The Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) has appealed to both NSCN (IM) and the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) to immediately stop all forms of fighting, hostility, and attacks against one another.

TNL urged NSCN (IM) and ZUF to come to the table, uphold mutual respect, and resolve differences through ceasefire and dialogue. It also called upon every responsible leader and cadre to prioritize the unity, dignity, and future survival of the Naga people above all other interests.

In a release issued on May 26, TNL stated, “At this critical stage of our history, internal conflict among Naga groups only weakens the collective strength, security, and future of the Naga people.”

The Tangkhul apex body stated that differences in political policy and ideology may continue to exist, but such differences must not become a reason for bloodshed or division among their own people.

“In Nagaland, many factions coexist while maintaining ceasefire and mutual understanding,” TNL stated, adding that the same spirit of restraint and respect must prevail in the vulnerable Naga areas of Manipur.

Tangkhul Naga Long further stated that the policy of hegemony, dominance, and power politics must stop so that the land of the Nagas and its people do not become vulnerable to external political or militant influence.

“The Naga vision itself is still in a sensitive and evolving stage. Therefore, the security, safety, and protection of Naga ancestral lands and Naga communities in vulnerable regions remain a collective responsibility and accountability of all Naga national groups,” the release added.
