Public Rally in Moreh Opposes Kuki-Zo MLAs Participation in Manipur Government Formation

An effigy of the three MLAs was also burned as a symbolic act of protest.

A massive public rally was held today at Moreh, Tengnoupal District, organized by the Kuki Women’s Union & Human Rights(KWU & HR), Moreh Block. Thousands of people participated in the rally to express their opposition to the participation of Kuki–Zo MLAs in the formation of the Manipur Popular Government.

The rally commenced from Galngam Lentol and proceeded peacefully towards the Martyrs’ Complex, KSO Moreh Campus, where the gathering concluded.

During the rally, participants raised slogans expressing their dissatisfaction and opposition. Among the slogans raised were “Nemcha Kipgen Down Down,” “L.M. Khaute, Traitor, Traitor,” “Ngursanglung Sanate, Traitor, Traitor,” and “We Want Separate Administrator.”

An effigy of the three MLAs was also burned as a symbolic act of protest.

The organizers stated that the rally was conducted to convey the sentiments and demands of the public regarding the current Manipur Popular Government.
