Poster Depicting Incompatibility Between Kukis and Meiteis Put Up in Churachandpur

Churachandpur district police and central forces removed posters put up by unknown individuals in the district on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, unidentified persons attached large posters with the message: "If you believe you can coexist with Meiteis, you are a very special kind of stupid” in two different locations.

The posters were placed near the Mini Secretariat in Tuibong and the Tuibong Traffic Point. As soon as photos of the posters spread on social media, it was learned that the Governor of Manipur ordered their removal.

Following the order, district police and central forces took down the posters from both locations.

As of the filing of this report, no individual or organization has claimed responsibility for the act.

It may be mentioned that unknown individuals had earlier removed a poster for the Shirui Lily Festival, which was posted near the Mini Secretariat in Tuibong, Churachandpur.
