Pherzawl Launches Major Outreach Drive to Deliver Government Benefits at Doorstep

The campaign seeks to ensure last-mile delivery of essential government services and entitlements directly to citizens.

The District Administration of Pherzawl today launched the Jan Bhagidaari Abhiyan – SabseDoor, Sabse Pehle, marking the beginning of a comprehensive outreach campaign aimed at delivering government services to the district’s most remote populations.

The initiative, inaugurated at the DC Conference Hall, will be conducted from 18th to 25th May and cover 22 villages across the district. The campaign seeks to ensure last-mile delivery of essential government services and entitlements directly to citizens.

Deputy Commissioner Mannuamching, IAS described the campaign as a transformative push towards inclusive development, stressing the need for coordinated efforts across departments. She highlighted priority sectors such as rural livelihoods, water supply, forest management, and healthcare, adding that health camps and grievance redressal through Jan Sunwai at the SDO level will form the core of the programme.

“We are working in a challenging environment, but with collective effort and determination, we can bring meaningful change. Every activity must be purposeful, coordinated, and people-centric,” she stated, urging officials to intensify outreach and ensure effective implementation.

The Deputy Commissioner also stressed the importance of geotagging activities, reviewing past performance, and ensuring accessibility through minimal-cost so that all residents can benefit.

She also appealed for active participation from Village Authorities, NGOs, and Self-Help Groups, noting that community involvement is vital for the campaign’s success.

The launch event was attended by DFO Smt. S L NiangthianhoiIFS, Additional Deputy Commissioner Zousanglur Joute, SDO Vangai Lalthanzam Infimate, and other district-level officers. (DIO Pherzawl)
