The Konsakhul ( Konsaram) Village Authority on Wednesday claimed that they had no prior knowledge of the agreement signed between Working Committee of United Naga Council and Sadar Hills Chief Association.

The claimed made by Konsakhul is in reaction to the Working Committee, UNC and Sadar Hills Chief Association (SAHILCA) agreement on June 2 in the matter of physical assaults/attacks to the Konsakhul Villagers including village chief, secretary, pastor and others by the Leilon Vaiphei villagers on April 5, 2025 and its impending issues in regard to land dispute.

In a clarification note issued on Wednesday, the Konsakhul ( Konsaram) Village Authority stated, "With a heavy heart and a profound sense of responsibility, the Konsakhul Village Authority wishes to categorically clarify that we had no prior knowledge of the so-called "Agreement" reportedly signed between the Working Committee of the United Naga Council (UNC) and SAHILCA on June 2, 2025, at the UNC Office, Tahamzam, in connection with the unprovoked and orchestrated attack on the Konsaram Village Chief, Chairman, Pastor and innocent villagers on April 5, 2025".

The Village authority claimed that they were neither consulted nor informed at any stage regarding the developments leading to the purported agreement.

As Nagas, the Village authority have always placed its trust in the UNC, believing in its unwavering commitment to justice, truth and the protection of our Naga homeland and dignity, the statement added.

"Our trust stems from lived experiences shaped by pain and struggle. We are still reeling from the brutal and inhumane assault on our women at K. Lungwiram on January 7, 2025, an incident that shook the conscience of every right-thinking individual" the authority added.

The village authority in its statement stated that the trauma was further deepened by the unprovoked and coordinated attack by Kuki militants and their armed volunteers on Konsaram Village on April 5, 2025.

Further, the authority added that he core issue concerning Konsaram (Konsakhul) is the matter of land ownership.

"As the rightful landowners, Konsaram remains steadfast in our position and will not yield under any circumstances" it added.

Reiterating the powerful declaration made by Ato Kilonser, Th. Muivah: "Not an inch of Nagas land will be compromised.", the village authority stated that such assertion embodies the collective will and unshakable resolve of the Naga people in defending their ancestral land.

Konsakhul village authority call upon the Working Committee of the UNC to take serious note of the just and resolute stand made by Th. Muivah, in the best interest of the Naga people.

The authority further appealed to its collective leadership to allow God's wisdom to guide every decision so that truth is not compromised, and peace is not built upon silence or exclusion.
