Kangpokpi Assembly Constituency MLA and former Minister for Textiles, Commerce & Industry and Cooperation, Nemcha Kipgen, today formally inaugurated the BuildEasy Pvt. Ltd. Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) Block Industry at S. Khomunnom village, Kangpokpi District.

The industry, established by entrepreneur Lunminlal Kipgen, holds the distinction of being the first of its kind in Kangpokpi District and only the second in the entire state. The facility is expected to boost local construction capacity with its eco-friendly and cost-effective building materials, while also creating new job opportunities for the region.

The inauguration ceremony began with the unveiling of a monolith by Nemcha Kipgen to mark the industry’s official opening, followed by a dedication prayer offered by Pastor Thangtinlal Vaiphei.

In her address, Nemcha Kipgen lauded the initiative of Lunminlal Kipgen, calling it an inspiring example of local entrepreneurship. She urged the youth of Kangpokpi to look beyond conventional employment and embrace entrepreneurship as a viable and powerful tool for self-reliance and regional growth.

“Entrepreneurship is not just about creating businesses; it’s about creating opportunities, driving innovation, and transforming our society from within,” she said, highlighting that self-employment ventures can significantly reduce unemployment and empower communities to chart their own economic future.

She also stressed the vital role of education in unlocking human potential and driving development. “Education is the backbone of all progress. Parents must encourage their children to aim higher, acquire skills, and use their knowledge to contribute meaningfully to society,” Nemcha said, underlining that a well-educated generation is essential to build a prosperous and self-reliant Kangpokpi.

The MLA’s message resonated strongly with the gathering, as she called for a cultural shift in mindset—where youth are not only job-seekers but also job-creators, and where education is viewed as the foundation of personal and community advancement.

With the establishment of the BuildEasy AAC Block Industry, Kangpokpi is poised to take a significant step forward in industrial growth, potentially inspiring more local ventures in the future.
