The release stated that the State Government acknowledges the genuine grievances received from displaced persons, particularly concerning inordinate delays and occasional rejections in the issuance of essential identity and residence-related documents such as birth certificates, domicile certificates, caste certificates, and income certificates, among others.
These delays are reportedly exacerbated by the unresponsive or uncooperative behaviour of certain officials at the issuing authorities, it added.
The nodal officers will specifically facilitate and oversee the documentation process for displaced persons and serve as points of contact for related grievances, the release stated.
