Manipur BJP General Secretary and Four BJP MLAs Leaves for Delhi to Seek NRC Before Census in Manipur

As per sources, more BJP MLAs are also expected to travel to New Delhi on thursday.

A delegation of BJP Manipur Pradesh leader and four MLAs have left Imphal for New Delhi on Wednesday afternoon to urge BJP central leadership to consider a representation seeking implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Manipur before the Census.

The delegation includes BJP Manipur Pradesh General Secretary and party’s NRC & Census Committee Convenor K. Saratkumar, Uripok MLA Kh. Raghumani, Lamlai MLA and BJP spokesperson Ksh. Ibomcha, Wangjing Tentha MLA P. Brojen and MLA T. Robindro.

It is learnt that the delegates are expected to submit a representation to the BJP central leadership and hold discussions on the demand for conducting the NRC exercise before the Census in Manipur.


As per sources, more BJP MLAs are also expected to travel to New Delhi on thursday to join the delegation and jointly submit the representation and discuss the issue with the central leadership
