Kuki-Zo Women Stage Sit-in Protest Demanding Release of Kuki-Zo Hostages

Kuki-Zo women in Churachandpur district of Manipur staged a sit-in protest on Wednesday at the Wall of Remembrance, Tuibong, demanding the release of 14 Kuki-Zo hostages.

The protest was organised by the Indigenous Tribal Leaders' Forum (ITLF) Women's Wing. The protesters also demanded the arrest of those responsible for the killing of three Kuki-Zo pastors.

Women from different localities participated in the sit-in protest, holding various placards. The sit-in protest began on Tuesday. The women have declared that they will continue the protest until the Kuki-Zo hostages are released and those responsible for the killing of the Kuki-Zo pastors are arrested.
