Kuki Zo MLAs advise The Sangai Express to restrain from publishing unfounded and unverified news

In fact, there was a threadbare discussion on Separate Administration for the Kuki-Zo community focussing upon the gravity of the prevalent situation and circumstances.

Kuki Zo MLAs have advised The Sangai Express, a daily news paper based in imphal to restrain itself from from publishing unfounded and unverified news items in future to maintain its credential and reputation as an esteemed daily.

Apropos to the 'misleading' news item published on the 16th November, 2025 edition of the Sangai Express which reads "Kuki-Zo MLAs decide to join popular Ministry creating unnecessary public confusion, the KukI Zo MLAs issued a clarification and made an appeal to the public to not to get carried away by such misleading rumours.

Convener of the 10 Kuki Zo MLAs Haokholet Kipgen and secretary Chinlunthang issued a statement clarifying that there was a discussion on popular ministry in Manipur at the Guwahati Enclave.

However, no decision was taken by the Kuki-Zo MLAs to join the formation as alleged. Moreover, some Kuki-Zo MLAs were not present at the meeting.
