St. Vincent’s School, Pangmoul, transformed into a vibrant hub of colour, culture, melody, and youthful exuberance as it celebrated its much-awaited Annual Day Celebration 2025 at the school playground.

The event, graced by Zoshi Lamkhohat, ZEO Kangpokpi, along with other dignitaries, showcased the students’ talents, discipline, and creativity while reaffirming the institution’s strong commitment to holistic education.

The celebration commenced with the School Anthem, followed by the solemn Lighting of the Lamp, symbolising wisdom and enlightenment. A graceful Prayer Dance by Senjoe Mount Convent added a spiritual touch to the opening moments.

Rev. Fr. Philip, Principal of the school, delivered the Annual Report, highlighting the school’s academic achievements, co-curricular progress, and its future vision and initiatives.

A series of captivating performances kept the audience enthralled. These included a delightful Special Appearance by the Primary Section and the much-anticipated Prize Distribution ceremony recognising outstanding performers across various fields.

The lively Oppa Gangnam Style performance by the Gangnam Girls drew loud cheers and added vibrant energy to the event.

A major cultural highlight of the evening was the Chin–Kuki–Mizo Cultural Dance presented by the SVS Cultural Troup, celebrating the region’s rich heritage. A melodious Musical Instrumental performance by the Egoist Band further showcased the remarkable talents of the students.

Motivational speeches by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries encouraged students to uphold the values of discipline, integrity, and excellence.

On the sideline of the celebration, the school Principal underscored the institution’s unwavering commitment to holistic education and meaningful character formation.

He said, “St. Vincent School is proudly celebrating its Annual Day 2025 with enthusiasm, creativity, and an impressive display of our students’ talents. This event is not just a festive occasion—it is an important educational milestone that enriches the academic, social, and personal development of every child.”

Highlighting the core educational values showcased through the celebration, the Principal, Rev. Fr. Philip emphasized holistic learning, confidence-building, leadership development, teamwork and collaboration, cultural appreciation, recognition of excellence, and strong parent–school partnership as the pillars of this year’s programme.

“The Annual Day is more than an event,” the Principal continued. “It is an educational experience that touches the minds and hearts of our students. At St. Vincent School, we remain committed to preparing every child for a bright, responsible future—one rooted not only in knowledge but in values, discipline, and character.”

Sending an important message to society, the Principal cautioned against reducing education to technology-driven habits. “Education is not about making students electronic dependents,” he said. “We are not here to make our children like computers. We are here to shape them holistically. Our students must be given platforms to showcase their talents, receive encouragement from the institution and parents, value their abilities, and grow with confidence.”

He added that when children’s talents are recognized and nurtured, they become resilient and are naturally protected from social evils such as drug addiction and other harmful influences. “Events like this help children discover their gifts, develop their potential, and grow into responsible young citizens.”

The Principal concluded by reaffirming the school’s mission: “We will continue organizing meaningful occasions like this so that our children may recognize their talents, refine them, and step confidently into the future as responsible, value-driven individuals.”

St. Vincent’s School once again demonstrated its excellence by delivering a well-coordinated, inspiring, and culturally rich Annual Day, leaving parents and guests proud of the young Vincentians’ achievements and potential.
