The event began with a Welcome Address and Presentation by Anthony Touthang, followed by a stirring rendition of the Oasis Anthem by the Music Club. The Chief Guest officially declared the festival open amid resounding applause, symbolizing the beginning of a day filled with celebration, creativity, and inspiration.

The dignitaries delivered motivational speeches emphasizing the importance of balancing academics with creativity, social responsibility, and community engagement.
Pastor Necha Chongloi of Kangpokpi Christian Church led the Inaugural Prayer, invoking blessings for a successful event, while Dr. Ruth Nengneihling, Principal of Oasis College, expressed heartfelt gratitude through the Vote of Thanks, appreciating the tireless efforts of the organizing committee, faculty, and students.

At its core, Chillax represents more than just a college festival — it is a platform for students to reconnect, recharge, and rediscover their passions. It offers a rare opportunity for students from diverse departments and backgrounds to come together, fostering a deep sense of community and belonging across the campus.

The event celebrates creativity, diversity, and talent, allowing students to showcase their artistic and cultural skills while appreciating those of others. It also provides, after rigorous academic schedules, the perfect break — filled with games, performances, food stalls, laughter, and lasting memories that enrich the overall college experience.

Emphasizing the role of creativity and innovation in building a better society, Shokhongam Baite, MCS, ADC/ADM Kangpokpi, offered his best wishes to Oasis College and lauded the idea behind Chillax.

Baite expressed his optimism that Chillax 2025 would provide a platform for students to showcase hidden talents that even they may not realize they possess, encouraging them to continue nurturing their potential.

The college’s grand annual festival featured an exciting and diverse lineup of events, including Mukhti Marathon Challenge 2025; Chillax Idol – “Unleash Your Voice” (Western Solo Singing Competition – English); Cultural Dance and Cosplay; Mobile Legends / BGMI Tournament; Chess Competition; Spot/Face Painting; Pop-up Stalls and Food Corners; Essay Competition; Selfie and Photo Booth Contest; Sugar Test and Blood Grouping Camp.

The organizing committee shared that this year’s Chillax goes beyond entertainment — it aims to empower young minds to become agents of change.

“This is more than a race or a festival — it’s about unleashing the spark within each individual to make a difference,” said the Event Convenor.

The inaugural event was marked by captivating cultural dance performances from various school and college troupes across the district, showcasing rich local talent and cultural diversity.

Chillax ’25 was proudly powered by a strong network of partners and supporters, including Oasis India, the Department of Social Welfare (Government of Manipur), Punjab National Bank (PNB), IDBI Bank, State Bank of India (SBI), Touthang’s Infra, IRMA, MK, Envision More, and Annie’s Café. Their contributions were instrumental in ensuring the success and scale of the celebration.

The day concluded with light refreshments, cheerful interactions, and smiling faces — perfectly capturing the true essence of Chillax: a festival that inspires connection, creativity, and carefree joy, while staying true to Oasis College’s vision to “Impart, Empower, and Transform.”
