
The groundbreaking and site dedication ceremony for the construction of Hotel Providence was held at 7:00 AM today at Teddim Road, Thingkangphai, marking the beginning of what is set to become Lamka’s first four-star hotel.
The ceremony was conducted by Rev. T. Thangzasiam, Divisional Superintendent of EBC Lamka South Division.
Upon completion, Hotel Providence is expected to feature more than 50 rooms along with a range of amenities, including a fitness centre, on-site fine dining, swimming pool, two banquet halls, an executive meeting room, VIP lounge and concierge services.
The project’s Architectural Consultant is 345 Studio, while Tunnu Engineering and Consultancy is serving as the Structural Engineering and Project Management Consultant. Building Services and HVAC consultancy has been entrusted to experts from across India.
The hotel is being developed by Providence Hospitality Services, with project financing provided through a loan from the State Bank of India (SBI).
The project is expected to be completed within approximately three years. Once operational, Hotel Providence is anticipated to provide quality accommodation for travellers while contributing to the socio-economic development of Lamka and creating employment opportunities in the area.
