Four killed in Kamjong, Tangkhul Naga Long impose 24 hour emergency shutdown

Four Tangkhul nagas were reportedly killed by unidentified persons on Thursday at Pilong village under Kamjong district.

As per reports, the incident occurred on thursday the evening.

The victims have been identified as Phami Jajo, Vareshim Jajo, both of Kangpat Khullen, Betterson Jajo of Kangpat Khunou and Ningthem of Zingsui.

Following the incident, Tangkhul Naga Long Long imposed a 24-hour emergency total shutdown with its jurisdiction to protest against ‘the brutal killing’ of four innocent civilians.

TNC stated that the total shutdown, which will commence at 07:00 am of 25 September, 2026 and end at 07:00 am of 26th Septembe 2026 shall strictly be observed by one and all.

TNL claimed that four individuals were killed by KNA (B) and Kuki Narco-Terrorists around 1:30 pm on Thursday at Pillong, 35km from Kamjong headquarters.

Emergency services including power, medical, fire, movement connected with funeral/condolence service and other essential services shall be exempted from the purview of the total shutdown.
