
District Administration Churachandpur organised a bike rally as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign on Thursday.
The Deputy Commissioner of Churachandpur district, Krishna Kumar, flagged off the bike rally at Peace Ground in Tuibong. The rally will reach Geljang before returning to Peace Ground.
Speaking to the media, Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar said that, as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, the district administration is organising a bike rally in which participants from different line departments, the police, bike-riding groups and local youth took part.
The Deputy Commissioner said, “Our message is very clear. We just want to convey the message to all citizens to be part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. We need to hoist the flag with great respect and pay tribute to all our forefathers, freedom fighters and all those who made sacrifices for this country.”
To continue this legacy, different kinds of activities are being carried out as part of Har Ghar Tiranga camapaign. In all schools and colleges, students are being encouraged to participate in various activities, such as painting and debates.
All line departments have also been given instructions and are ensuring the hoisting of the national flag at every government building.
“We are also appealing to civil society organisations, student bodies and all citizens to come forward and participate in this campaign so that we can make it a success and bring the name of Churachandpur not only at the state level but also at the national level,” he added.
A full-dress rehearsal for the Independence Day parade was also held at Peace Ground following the conclusion of the bike rally.
