As part of the nationwide "Jan Kalyan Shivir" Public Welfare Campaign being conducted across the country from June 12 to June 20, 2026, the Government of Manipur has initiated arrangements for the organisation of State-wide Mega Registration Camps at district and sub-divisional headquarters across the State.
In pursuance of the State-wide welfare initiative and in keeping with the spirit of the nationwide Jan Kalyan Shivircampaign, the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Government of Manipur, will organise Public Welfare Camp for journalists/beneficiaries from June 18 to June 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The camp will focus on services relating to the two welfare schemes taken up by DIPR for the journalist community, viz. the Manipur State Journalists' Welfare Scheme (MSJWS) and the Manipur Working Journalists' Pension Scheme (MWJPS), the two we.
The Directorate has appealed to all eligible journalists/intending beneficiaries to take advantage of the camp and to apply for the journalists’ welfare scheme. Moreover, those eligible journalists who are yet to be registered for MWJPS, may get themselves enrolled for the pension scheme during the camp.
It is worth mentioning that the nationwide campaign is being undertaken with the objective of ensuring effective outreach and saturation of welfare and beneficiary-oriented schemes of both the Central and State Governments so that all eligible citizens can avail themselves of the benefits and services provided under various public welfare programmes.
