
The deputy commissioner of Churachandpur district Dharun Kumar S has expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of work, particularly in Package 4A and 4B (between Songtal and Tuivai Bridge) along National Highway 102 also known as Guitar Road connecting Churchandpur district of Manipur to Mizoram .
On December 8, Dharun Kumar accompanied by Thangboi Gangte, ADC Mualnuam, conducted a spot enquiry and review of the ongoing projects under NHIDCL along NH-102B.
During the inspection, the deputy commissioner expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of the work and directed the NHIDCL officials to adopt a war-footing approach to execution, stressing the need to capitalize on the State’s limited working season.
The deputy commissioner also instructed the completion of works under Package 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B, with a clear focus on achieving maximum physical progress during the working season.
Later in the day, Dharun chaired the District Review Meeting at the Mualnuam Sub-Divisional Headquarters. The meeting was attended by Thangboi Gangte, ADC Churachandpur Seiminthang Lenthang, District Level Officers (DLOs) from various departments, and representatives from NHIDCL.
During the meeting, the district level officers presented a departmental overview and highlighted their progress and achievements through PowerPoint presentations on various schemes and programmes. The review underscored the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure timely implementation of development initiatives across the district.
