CRPF 129 Bn and SAI Organise Football Tournament Under Khelo India Initiative at Churachandpur

As part of the nationwide Khelo India initiative aimed at promoting sports and fitness among youth, the Dett. 129 Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force organized a Football tournament in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India (SAI). The event took place at Public Ground, Churachandpur District . A total of 16 teams from the local region participated in the spirited tournament, showcasing talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The tournament aims not only to encourage physical fitness and healthy lifestyles but also to build coordination between the security forces and local communities through sports and builds trust, promotes social cohesion, and provides positive engagement during this critical period. Through shared activity and mutual respect, sports can bridge divides and foster understanding.

The opening ceremony was held on 1st November 2025. The chief guest Rakesh Balwal, IPS, DIG Range- 3 Manipur & Nagaland Police graced the occasion. In this programme Sh. Arun Kumar Meena,Comdt 32 Bn CRPF
(OFFICIATING DIG Ops Range CCPur), Commandant 58 Bn CRPF and Commandant-157 Bn CRPF also present with other officer. Q.I. Jeelani, Second in Command/the Organizer of the match give his heartiest thanks to all from team Dett. 129 Bn CRPF. He said that Dett. 129 Bn CRPF remains committed to strengthening the bond between the security forces and local communities through such constructive and inclusive initiatives.
