
Committee on Tribal Unity(CoTU) has suspended its ongoing 24 hours total shutdown with immediate effect after positive assurance from the concerned authority.
In a release issue on Wednesday afternoon, CoTU stated that the Committee along with its stakeholders deliberated on the joint declaration made by the UNC and KIM at Kangpokpi on the january 27 for amicable discourse and that the committee unanimously resolved to uphold the decission taken by the two tribal apex bodies for furtherance of cordial relationship between the two Tribal Community.
The committee extends appreciation to the general public, church leaders and all civil organisation for having supported the total shutdown imposed on the AH 2 and NH 37 from the midnight of 27th January 2026 over the inaction of the government to apprehend the perpetrators, ZUF-S Kamson group who set a blazed K Songlung Village, Part II on the auspicious observance of Republic Day.
