Churachandpur Holds Grand Full Dress Rehearsal for 79th Independence Day Celebration at Peace Ground, Tuibong

The events  was attended by ADC, SDOs, DLOs, Officials from CRPF, BSF, police and various departments of the District Administration.

The District Administration, Churachandpur today conducted a full dress rehearsal Parade for the upcoming 79th Independence Day celebration, 2025 at Peace Ground, Tuibong, Churachandpur with a grand success.

Thangboi Gangte, ADC, Churachandpur, hoisted the National Flag, symbolizing the nation’s unity and integrity and took the salute from the march past of the contingents. SP, Churachandpur Shri Prakhar Pandey, IPS along with dignitaries led Guard of Honour and inspection of  the march past of the contingents. The Parade Commander for the rehearsal was Shri Jay Barange, IPS, SDPO, Churachandpur, while the stirring renditions of the National Anthem and the band performance were delivered by the Assam Rifles, 27 Sector, Churachandpur.

The full-dress rehearsal ceremony comprised marching contingents from the CRPF(men); BSF (men) (CCpur); IRB platoon; Civil Police(men & women); VDF (men); Ex-service(men); Rayburn College NCC (Senior division & Senior wing, boys and grils); Rayburn High School NCC Junior Wing (girls); Churachandpur College, NCC Senior wing (girls); Bethany Christian College NCC, 1st and 2nd Platoon (Sr. & Jr. wing, girls) and JNV, Tuinom  (Jr. mixed platoon & Jr. Scouts & Guide Platoon).

Marching contingents from different schools such as Rengkai  Govt. Hr. Sec. School (boys & girls); JNV, Tuinom (boys & girls); Gandhi Memorial High School (boys & girls); Tuibong Govt. High School (boys & girls); KSO, Community School (boys & girls); New Lamka UPS (boys & girls); Saidan UPS (boys & girls); Seilal UPS (boys & girls) and  Sona Security Agency (mixed) are participated, showcasing their discipline and coordination.

As part of rehearsal for the celebration Thangboi Gangte, administered the Nasha Mukh Abhiyan Pledge to the gathering, emphasizing the collective resolve to make the district, state and  country drug-free. The pledge aimed to raise awareness about the ill effects of substance abuse and encourage individuals to take stand against drug addiction. The participants reaffirmed their resolve to work towards healthier and more prosperous community, free from the scourge of drugs.

Deputy Commissioner, Dharun Kumar S, IAS will hoist  the national flag and take salute from the march past contingents at the peace ground on August 15. Jay Barange, IPS, SDPO,  will be the Parade Commander on Independence Day celebration. (DIO)
