Awareness program for IDPs on Chief Minister’s Health Scheme and AB-PMJAY organised in Churachandpur

The awareness program started on March 31 and will will concludes on April 7.

The District Implementation Unit (DIU), Churachandpur, in collaboration with the State Health Agency, Manipur, organized a one-day awareness campaign on the Chief Minister's Health Scheme, Chief Ministergi Hakselgi Tengbang (CMHT), and Ayushman Bharat–Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) at the office of the Saikot Sub-Divisional Officer in Churachandpur district on Tuesday.

As the program was mainly for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), many of them from different relief camps in the area participated in the awareness programme. Various health schemes provided by the state and central governments were explained to the IDPs, and officials also held one-to-one interactions with them to answer their queries.

Jenny Paite, Auditor for CMHT and PMJAY under the District Implementation Unit, while speaking to IANS, said that the awareness campaign focused mainly on Internally Displaced Persons. She explained that the programme aimed to inform beneficiaries about how to use the cards, where to use them, and how to avail themselves of the benefits.

During the awareness programme, an interaction session was also held with the IDPs and beneficiaries, the auditor added. Jenny said, “We also clarified their doubts on how to use the cards, how to avail the benefits, and where to create the cards.

Stating that the awareness program started on March 31 and concluded on April 7, Jenny added that they visited eight relief camps as part of the campaign.
